Eagles

Once again we were lucky enough to photography a couple of eagles. Yes, that's right, there were 2 eagles fishing in the bay on Saturday morning. Acutally, they were trying to reclaim a fish one of them dropped by Lodel's pier. It was great fun to watch!

An eagle is sitting in a dead tree to the right of the cabin.

More Grandma and Grandpa pictures

Grandpa with his muskie which hangs over the mantle, two piliated woodpeckers, ten crappies (seems like we're lucky to catch one these days) and a duck with a boat load of ducklings (9 or 10 I think).

Pictures from Grandma and Grandpa

Inlaw4 and I went to Grandma and Grandpa's last night. We brought home a dozen photographys or so from the early days at the cabin. Maybe they can add a few comments.

MD pictures

Melissa took these photographs last week while on vacation. I wanted to congratulate Inlaw1 for having the courage to display his catch. Inlaw4 was excited to see the pictures of the crane. We didn't see one the last time we were up there. I didn't know about Bert's gun. It's been restored and looks great on the wall. Thanks Inlaw1!

Pictures

Hi everyone,
Melissa offered to send some old photographys she had of the cabin for me to post on the blog. It's a great idea and I would be happy to post anyone's pictures for them. You can send them electronically to my e-mail or mail them. Or, the next time we get together just give them to me. I'll even return them.

Osprey

We haven't seen the Osprey for several years. Luckily this one landed in the tree across the bay.

Yikes!!

I was getting our gear out of the shed when I saw the first one. There were 3 more more under the pier. These are the biggest spiders I've ever seen. Does anyone know what kind they are? I think they may be Wolf Spiders but let me know. In the first photo all you can see is one of it's legs. If you double click and view the photo full size you'll see it. I'm sure it was trying to trip me.

Yard of the month

Congratulations King and Queen for winning YARD OF THE MONTH. The last photo shows a flock of turkeys and a Crane in the field behind them. They're kind of small but if you double click the picture you can view it full size.

Not so bad

Broke a few fence boards, knocked down some wires but it didn't hit the house or the garage.

Tree Damage

We've lost 1/2 of this tree to wind. The rest will come down asap via chain saw. If it wasn't over the house I'd take it down myself.

Good thing he's in In-law 4's yard and not the King's.

Signs of Spring

Looks like spring is on it's way! The snow's almost gone and the buds are starting show. Lisa is doing well in Greece. We've talked to her a couple times and she really seems to be enjoying it. She is having a problem with her computer but she has access to machines at school. We tried to send her a package but apparently it's lost. Oh well, it's nothing that can't be replaced.
