MI continued to Canada to northern WI

After leaving Boyne Falls, MI; we went to the Soo Locks in Sault Ste Marie, MI; on to Ontario, Canada for a few hours, and then to the Darby Cottage for a few more days of vacation.

The boat ride over to Mackinac Island & under the Mackinac Bridge was a little rough due to the weather, but the day cleared up beautifully for our day on the island.

Sun. 8/7/2011 Linda & I went to a time share with my sister (Carolyn) & her husband (Ray) at Boyne Falls, MI for a few days. We did some casino donating; emergency room visiting & ultrasound testing to make sure I only had cellulitis and not a blood clot problem in my right leg; did a little scanning for CD, VHS, etc.; sat around nights in the hot tub & pool; rode the ski lift (first time for all of us); & went to Mackinac Island for a day.

Darby is almost 3 weeks old and we are happy to report that Mom, Dad, and Darby are all doing great.

I know I'm the grandpa but is she cute or what!

Dream is keeping a close watch. She's been a really good girl and she really wants to give Darby a big lick.

Born 12:12 August 2nd. 7lbs 5 oz, 20.5 inches long and really cute.

cottage & bears & chairs Oh! My!

Couple Outlaw/Inlaw 1 were joined by couple Outlaw/Inlaw 2 at the cottage for a little vacationing, bearification, chairification and other activities. The chairification went quite well with the feminine partners doing a lot of the physical labor as they protected their surgerified and procedurized spouses from over doing it.

Damon & Laura saw the latest Harry Potter movie on opening day Friday, July 15 with one of his summer school classes. Then on Saturday, with Jason, they went to the Oshkosh Museum to see the traveling Harry Potter exhibit.

July Weekend

We made it to the lake again this year but only for a couple days. The weather was perfect and we had a great time.

This eagle was dining on a fish on the shore. Sorry to say we spooked it with the pontoon boat but managed to get a couple pictures.
