65th Anniversary

Last Sunday we celebrated Russ and Elsie's 65th Anniversary. Congratulations. All of the "kids" were there. We went to church, lunch at Thunder Bay, and back to their home for cake.

Still going strong after 65 years.

Linda and Jess gave each of the kids a framed photo. Thanks!

It's all about the cake.

The flowers came from church. The glasses were a gift for their 60th anniversary and match the cheese / hors d'oeuvre plate. The pressed leaves were collected this fall from the cabin.

JJ's Weekend at the Lake

Fresh air, sunshine, and a boat ride makes him sleepy.

Fall Colors

The fall colors were at their peak this weekend and the weather was wonderful.

After the sunset

The Darby Cabin
The shore was lined with colorful trees. Great weekend for fall colors.
This seagull really wanted the minnow but I don't think he got it until we left.

Elsie Mae

Elsie Mae and Tucker spent a few days at our house while Julie and Dave went to Katie B.'s Wedding. Charlie, Laura, & Damon visited during that time too. A lot of baby bottle feeding took place, a few diaper changes, and a couple of baths as well as visiting/fun times. Damon also read to her.

Hello from Memphis

Hey there everyone. I'm in Southaven working at our Distribution Center. It's been really hot and we've been working a lot of hours. I'm out in the warehouse working on cleaning up the LTL area. We're making progress but it's slow going. I had a couple hours this afternoon so I went to the riverside park in downtown Memphis. It was great to get out of the warehouse. I'll be back on Friday.

I'm staying off of Goodman and the DC is located at the next exit off 55s.
The pyramid is empty. From what I understand it's for sale @ 12M but no buyers.
The mighty Mississippi. The picture doesn't do it justice.
Downtown Memphis from riverside park. I walked to the pyramid which is just outside of the picture to the left. I'll go back in the evening if I get the chance.

What's that game called again?

Everyone seemed to enjoy "that game". It seems easy enough but I know I never got the hang of it.

Jan and and Linda dispute a call.
It' all in the wrist I guess.

Lisa and Kay with Coach Brandon.
What's the name of that game?
Jason looking for help?
Beer for ballest?
The guys were really into it.
Grandpa Darby enjoys the game.
