I was getting our gear out of the shed when I saw the first one. There were 3 more more under the pier. These are the biggest spiders I've ever seen. Does anyone know what kind they are? I think they may be Wolf Spiders but let me know. In the first photo all you can see is one of it's legs. If you double click and view the photo full size you'll see it. I'm sure it was trying to trip me.

hi! i once collected spiders for a school project. im a biology student. i think i encountered one like that. but just check it out. that spider may belong to the genus Argiope...but your specimen looks hairy and a lot bigger.
