Hey Guys, Remember V-Day

Just thought I would send out a quick reminder to all the guys that tomorrow is Valentine's Day.

Euchre

Last night we invited King and Queen over to see what we did to spare bedroom (Bethany's). Not only did they come over they brought a crock pot full of stew with them. There is a god!!

After 3 very close games of euchre, King and Queen bested us 2 to 1. At one point in the rubber match K & Q scored 22 of 24 points. We closed the gap but in the end fell short 32 to 28. At least we played better than the Bears.

Ugly, Ugly, Ugly

You gave me a gal. of left over paint last fall and I finally used it to prime Bethany's bedroom. Turns out the color was only a shade darker than what was on the wall. The paint covered really well. It should be dry in an hour or so and then it's on to the ceiling and walls (again).

Special Christmas Gift

A couple of years ago, Bethany discovered one of Jan's cross stitch projects. Without Jan's knowledge she decided to complete it for her. Bethany finished it around Thanksgiving. She had it framed and gave it to Jan for Christmas. The next time you come to visit be sure to check it out. It's one of those pieces of art that never ceases to amaze me. I couldn't complete it in a lifetime. We have it hanging in the front room. Thanks Bethany, it's beautiful.

Here are some helpful tips for all of us over 50.

Never attempt bending down, except under strict medical supervision.

Keep a diary – it will be a great source of comfort and a handy reminder of what you did yesterday.

Buy a computer, digital camera and a MP3 player. Although you’re incapable of understanding how to use them at least you’ll appear trendy.

Take the strain off your tired old memory by labelling all household objects – bed, fridge, television etc.
